I am Elected Student Governor

Yes, it's true, my campaign is finally over. After months of campaigning for the post of Student Governor at Hughbaird College, I was Elected to the corporation. My name was submitted a few weeks ago and I then started a fierce poster campaign around the campus. However none of the other people who were thinking of running managed to have their names submitted so I was the only candidate. I was quite surprised to find this out because I believed that It was coming down to a vote the following week. However this was not the case. I found out when I was going to one of my lessons, and my personal tutor Martin Speed congratulated me on my success. I didn't know what he was talking about, but guessed that he was talking about my campaign. After checking the student intranet, I discovered it was true, and so I was overjoyed.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my friends who nominated me for the post, Amanda Banks and Mark Mansell. I would also like to thank my personal tutor Martin Speed for his continual support throughout my campaign.
