Governors Planning Conference 2003

As part of my job as Student Governor, I had to go to the annual          Governors Planning Conference. Last year the conference was held up in Preston, but this year it was staged in St. David's Hotel, Ewloe. Because of my position, I had to attend many meetings and presentations over the two days. I was also given the opportunity to express the view of the students. I did this by making my own presentation to the Governors and all of the college Management Team. Luckily enough, St. David's is a 4 star hotel with excellent facilities. At night I would unwind by having a swim, lounging in the Jacuzzi and having a sauna. There is also a start of the art gym, but I preferred to take a stroll to the bar instead. I then returned, well staggered actually, to my room after a lovely meal and went to bed. I was surprised to find all manner of comforts in my rooms, such as tea and coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board. I also enjoyed the state of the art power shower, which nearly ripped my skin off with its power. The important thing is that I told the managers about the problems students were having with the college, and the management have assured me that they will be working with my to solve all of these problems.
